Orono, MN – Candidates for the Minnesota House of Representatives were endorsed at the Senate District 33 DFL Convention on March 17.
Norrie Thomas was endorsed by the DFL for the District 33A MN House of Representatives seat. District 33A includes voters in Corcoran, Greenfield, Independence, Long Lake, Loretto, Maple Plain, Medina, Minnetrista, a portion of Orono, St. Bonifacius and Wayzata.
Norrie Thomas is a graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy with a 30-year career focused on healthcare, pharmacy, building Minnesota-based businesses and helping to shape healthcare nationally. She has been recognized for her leadership and has essential skills to guide the Minnesota House in the critical areas of drug pricing and addiction. Norrie is proud of the Minnesota educational system, and she continues to educate pharmacists. Norrie resides in Wayzata and has four daughters, two grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
Kelly Morrison received the DFL endorsement for the District 33B MN House of Representatives seat. District 33B includes voters in Deephaven, Excelsior, Greenwood, Minnetonka Beach, Mound, Shorewood, Spring Park, Tonka Bay, a portion of Orono, and parts of Chanhassen.
Kelly Morrison has been a practicing physician in Minnesota for over 16 years. As a sixth generation Minnesotan, she has a deep history in our state and community. Kelly has been active in our community serving on boards that advocate for women’s health, the literary arts, and eliminating racism. Kelly is running because she is concerned about the state of political discourse and wants to be part of constructive, positive problem-solving. As a physician and a scientist, Kelly knows we must utilize the best available information to make evidence-based, fact-driven decisions to continue growing Minnesota’s innovative leadership. Kelly and John, her husband of over 20 years, live in Deephaven with their 3 children.
